Classes

Alice works and teaches out of her studio in Vancouver, BC. She teaches both beginner and advanced feltmaking classes as well as master classes on special techniques and applications.

Beginner Class: Introduction to Feltmaking

A basic introduction to the practical process of feltmaking, including:

  • wool breeds and their characteristics
  • demonstration of basic feltmaking
  • hands-on building and felting a sampler

Class size limited to 6 participants.

 

Advanced Class: 3-Dimensional Feltmaking

An extension of basic feltmaking to incorporate 3-dimensional skills including resist techniques. Each participant will complete a simple 3-dimensional project such as a handbag, hat or sculpture.

[Completion of Introduction to Feltmaking is a prerequisite.]

Class size limited to 4 participants.

 

Master Classes: Special Techniques/Applications

Special classes for addicted feltmakers who have already completed the beginner and advanced classes and want to further explore new techniques and materials. Projects will be determined individually.

Class size limited to 4 participants.

All classes run from 10 AM to 3 PM with a short lunch break.
